Did you know that you can actually get rid of face acne by drinking a lot of water? I mean a lot of water till you die, then you won’t have to struggle with bad skin any more? I thought you should know.
Some years back, I met a friend at the 10th floor of a certain building. She was this beautiful womanz with a bewitching smile. We became so fond of each other and became best of friends. Occasionally she would tell me things about a certain guy. The guy they were having a thing with. Surprisingly they would meet once in three months, yet they didn’t live an ‘impossible’ distance apart. So one day as she was bragging how she’ll be brought flowers on valentine’s day and I boldly told her “You are very single” she looked at me badly – but I was sure she was not close to receiving any flower for valentine (from the guy). At 11.59pm on Valentine’s Day, the only flower she had was from a random tout who was thoughtful enough.
Hours elapsed into days and the guy sensed a shift in attention and started calling twice-thrice a day all the way from calling once in a fortnight. Every time he called, she would tell me, “He called today to ask if we can meet” I would just chuckle and let her decide. A thing or two happened and I became the new holder of office, the swearing in and the oath of office was done in some nice noisy place. Even after assuming office, the other guy still kept calling.
The next day after asking her out, we were chilling after work. I asked her, “how was your day mamaa?” she answered, “It was okay”
“Okay, so did your boyfriend call you to…” I didn’t even finish asking when she smeared a big “No” on my face.
Poor me! I started laughing and this is when she realised that I was actually her boyfriend and I had called her thrice that day. She told me I am a bad person!
You've ever been fooled...?
In 1997, 14-year-old Nathan Zohner of Eagle Rock Junior High School in Idaho Falls presented his science fair project to his classmates in an effort to forbid the routine use of a highly hazardous chemical. He claimed that Dihydrogen monoxide was hazardous for human consumption. Throughout his presentation, Zohner gave his audience accurate scientific justifications for the need to outlaw this substance.
He explained that dihydrogen monoxide could cause severe burns while in gas form, that it also corrodes and rusts metals, besides being a carcinogen. Every year, countless people are killed as a result of its use. It’s commonly found in tumours, acid rain, and other related places. If consumed, it causes excessive urination and bloating. Zohner also stated that the chemical has the potential to kill you if you become dependent on it and then go through an extended withdrawal period.
He then asked his classmates if they really wanted
dihydrogen monoxide banned. As a result, 43 of the 50 students present voted to
ban this obviously dangerous chemical. However, this substance is not typically
regarded as toxic. Apparently, dihydrogen monoxide is just a fancy name for
water. The fact that people can easily mislead and be misled is extremely
unsettling.
In acknowledgement of his experiment, journalist James Glassman devised the term "Zohnerism" to refer to the use of a true fact to lead a scientifically and mathematically ignorant public to a false conclusion.
The first phase is nothing scientific for that matter, just
relatable.
Happy week!
Too many fools in one short story 😂😂
ReplyDeleteThat kid was a bad ass!😂
ReplyDeleteHa ha... 🥴 👍🏽
ReplyDeleteHuh! talking if misleading... How about politicians and pastors ??
ReplyDeleteEven the first phase could be scientific..who knows ?😅

DeleteInteresting 😂😂😂
ReplyDeletethis is a good read. I felt fooled when you said it was water. Your girlfriend and stuff feels relatable too. Keep the good work
